Our Products
Bunge Oils sources soybean and canola oil from the Company’s Oilseed Processing unit and further refines it into shortenings, margarines and salad and cooking oils. As research continues to identify the health implications of dietary fat, Bunge Oils continues to provide solutions that keep our customers on the cutting edge. We’ve developed proprietary processes that allow us to offer our customers a number of trans fat alternatives.
We also work with other companies to expand the solutions we can offer to our customers. Using the oils from the specialty seeds developed by DuPont and Dow AgroSciences we created products that have better natural stability and a longer shelf life than traditional oils.
Bunge Oils is also focusing on emerging markets. Delta™ SL is a Bunge Oils patented formulation that has captured the interest of major food manufacturers. This all-natural vegetable oil has been clinically proven to metabolize more quickly enabling an individual to maintain their desired weight. Further, Delta™ SL contains phytosterol, a cholesterol lowering component derived from soybeans, which when consumed inhibits the body’s ability to absorb cholesterol. It has a lighter, cleaner flavor than other popular cooking oils and performs equally well as a salad oil.
Locations and Logistics
Bunge Oils operates food oil refineries and packaging plants throughout the United States and Canada. These facilities can produce oil in large quantities for major food manufacturers or blend special formulas for small restaurants.
