Bunge Grain -- A leading exporter and domestic supplier of grain.

BUNGE GRAIN offers growers and customers over 80 years of experience as a leading exporter and domestic supplier of grain.

Bunge North America’s grain operation buys, handles, conditions and stores agricultural commodities produced by North America’s growers. In addition to selling to domestic processors, we are a leading exporter of grain and a supplier to the ethanol industry.

Bunge Grain offers growers and customers over 80 years of experience — a history that began with the founding of Bunge North American Grain Corporation in New York in 1923.

Capacity and Quality

Compared to our competitors, Bunge has the largest storage capacity along the Mississippi River system, representing about 30 percent of the industry total. With a total storage capacity of about 120 million bushels (3 million metric tons), Bunge Grain is able to maintain consistent grain quality under conditions that change each year with each new crop.

To assure our ability to deliver grains that meet customer requirements, we have developed innovative aeration systems and quality control protocols.

Our Commitment to Growers

Bunge Grain appreciates the challenges North American growers face each year as they bring their crops to market and believes growers deserve fair treatment and good service. We consider growers to be our customers, an attitude that impacts every aspect of the relationship.

For instance, we use the latest technology to sample each load of grain and analyze it for test weight, moisture, cracked and foreign material, in accordance with strict industry standards. We’ve refined this procedure so that it takes only minutes per truckload, and our growers appreciate our efficiency, particularly during the hectic harvest season.

Risk Management

At Bunge, expertise in effective risk management is a fundamental strength of our business. Substantial management experience in the use of sophisticated trading strategies, financial instruments and forecasting methods enables us to anticipate market developments and optimize the timing and execution of purchases, sales and hedging — all of which maximize stakeholder returns.
